Dallas, Texas – A dramatic video shared by X user Bianca shows the moment a commercial airplane flew over a powerful storm, capturing breathtaking views of the clouds and lightning below.

The footage was taken on June 29 during a Southwest flight from LGA airport to DallasLoveField.

“We flew over a storm, and I am just amazed at the majesty of it all!” Bianca wrote. “Shout out to SouthwestAir for navigating us through and around this with minimal impact.”

The aircraft was about an hour from landing when the video was recorded, around 9:15 p.m. CST on Sunday.

The glowing storm clouds and flashes of lightning lit up the night sky, providing a surreal and awe-inspiring sight from the passenger window.
