Ogden, Utah – The Ogden Police Department has released bodycam footage from a home where 156 dogs and cats were rescued.
In the video, officers open the front door and are met with barking as dogs run through the home. Animals are seen on chairs, on the bed, and inside boxes.
Officers quickly retreat to get masks due to the overwhelming smell. One officer remarks, “There’s a lot,” before grabbing a PPE mask. “It’s very strong,” he adds.
As they continue through the house, officers express disbelief at the sheer number of animals packed inside.
Two men involved are now facing hundreds of charges. One of them has been charged with 698 offenses, including 168 counts of misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
