Springfield, Missouri – Officers in Springfield responded to a touching rescue last week and captured it all on bodycam.

A tiny deer fawn had become stuck in an empty swimming pool. Officers arrived and acted quickly.

Bodycam video shows them climbing into the pool and gently scooping up the frightened fawn.

The fawn’s mother stood nearby, watching the entire rescue unfold.

“Days like this make me feel like I made a difference in the world,” said Officer Vorse after the rescue.

The officers say this is one moment they will never forget.
