Gredos, Spain – Specialists from the Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group (GREIM) of El Barco de Ávila and Arenas De San Pedro assisted several climbers at Laguna Grande de Gredos.

A helicopter was activated to carry out the evacuation. However, it had to return to base due to severe weather conditions.

The rescue was eventually carried out on foot using a stretcher. Teams faced heavy rain and strong gusts of wind during the operation.
