Sabattis, Hamilton County – A video records a group of moose in New York’s Adirondacks — a bull with large antlers accompanied by smaller animals — moving slowly through thick orange and red autumn foliage alongside railroad tracks as late afternoon light falls.
The clip pans over their attentive stances among conifer trees and brush, filmed from a safe distance. Photos accompanying the footage show the full group of six.
The local moose population remains steady at 600–800 animals, though recent bull activity led to a month-long closure of the Goodman Mountain trail in July 2025.
