Missing 2-Year-Old Toddler Rescued in Jackson County by Police

Jackson County, Michigan – Michigan State Police praised Trooper 2 for locating a missing child over the weekend. The 2-year-old, wearing only a diaper, had been missing for over an hour.

Trooper 2 worked with the Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety. Using heat-seeking technology, the trooper found the child in just 15 minutes. The search happened in the local area.

After spotting the child, Trooper 2 guided ground units to the location. The child was conscious and alert. Officers noted the child did not seem injured.

Body camera footage showed officers comforting the child. They walked the toddler to a waiting ambulance for a check-up. The quick response ensured the child’s safety.

Michigan State Police highlighted the teamwork. They thanked Trooper 2 and local partners for their great job.
