Mayon Volcano, Philippines – At 4:33 PM on December 29, 2025, a rockfall shed from the summit lava dome of Mayon Volcano was recorded by cameras and seismic monitors of the Mayon Volcano Network.
The rockfall traveled down the Miisi Gully on the southern slopes, coming to rest within a kilometer of the summit crater. This event is similar to previous rockfalls in the area.
A total of 19 rockfall events were recorded the previous day, highlighting continued volcanic activity. Authorities maintain Alert Level 1 over Mayon Volcano, and entry into the 6-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone remains strictly prohibited.
