Salerno, Italy – Intense wildfires triggered over 160 firefighting operations across Campania in just 24 hours, with major outbreaks in Caserta and Naples provinces.

The most critical areas include Castel Morrone, Sessa Aurunca, Baia Domizia, Caserta Vecchia, Solopaca, the Flegrean zone, Casalnuovo, Quadrano, and Caivano.

In response, reinforcements were dispatched from fire departments in Chieti, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Viterbo, Rieti, Genoa, and Frosinone.

A dramatic video clip shows overnight firefighting efforts in Salerno, where crews are battling flames on Monte Bonadies, just behind the historic Arechi Castle.

As of Monday, the operation remains ongoing.
