Lee County, Florida – On June 30, deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit responded swiftly to a distress call near the power lines in Pine Island Sound.

Two men were boating when a wave struck the rear of their vessel, causing it to overturn. Clinging to the capsized boat, the men called for help.

The Marine Unit arrived quickly on the scene and rescued both individuals, bringing them safely back to shore.
