Cincinnati, Ohio – The Marine Rescue Team responded to severe flooding in Cincinnati as waters crested over 60 feet. They conducted welfare checks on about 20 residents in partially submerged homes.
The team offered evacuation assistance to those in need. They also rescued citizens trapped in two submerged vehicles near the East End.
Police urge drivers to avoid barricades and road closure signs. Ignoring them endangers everyone and may lead to fines.
The City and Red Cross opened an emergency shelter for displaced residents. Those needing help can call 1-800-RED-CROSS for directions.
