Grand Blanc Township, Michigan – A 37-year-old Fenton man was arrested after leading police on a motorcycle chase that reached speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour on August 17, 2025, around 8 p.m.
The pursuit began as a routine stop for a speeding civil infraction but quickly escalated when the suspect attempted to outrun officers.
After abandoning his motorcycle, the man led police on a foot chase. During the pursuit, he tried to discard a firearm and methamphetamine, both of which were recovered by officers.
The suspect, Cory Herrick, now faces 11 felony charges related to the incident.
The Grand Blanc Township Police Department emphasized that while some agencies limit pursuits, their officers are trained to take action when necessary, successfully removing a dangerous individual from the streets.
