Maui, Hawaii – A heartwarming video filmed by Gayle E shows her English Springer Spaniel, Sammy, singing along with alarm sirens signaling an approaching tsunami.

Gayle said: “2 hours out from expected tsunami arrival, and my dog Sammy is helping with the alarm sirens. We are at 2000 ft so no need to evacuate but he wants to make sure everyone is aware!”

In the footage, Sammy’s howls match the rising and falling tones of the alarms, creating a touching moment of alertness and care.

Though safely located 2,000 feet above sea level, Sammy’s singing reflects a special connection to the emergency and a desire to help keep his community aware.
