Caribbean – On Sept. 19, 2025, President Donald Trump ordered U.S. military forces under U.S. Southern Command to execute a lethal kinetic strike against a vessel in international waters in the Caribbean.

Intelligence had identified the ship as being operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization and confirmed it was engaged in illicit narcotics smuggling. The vessel was traveling along a known narco-trafficking route and was loaded with narcotics.

The strike killed three male narco-terrorists on board. No U.S. military personnel were injured during the operation.
