Borca di Cadore, Italy – A destructive landslide struck Borca di Cadore, a village in the Belluno region within a UNESCO World Heritage site, early Monday, June 16, 2025. The disaster damaged homes and vehicles, with firefighters responding since 4:30 a.m.
Several residents were evacuated for safety. Crews are using excavators and earth-moving equipment to clear roads buried under mud and debris while performing drainage operations to prevent further damage.
