King Tide Chaos Submerges Hollywood Beach Streets

Hollywood Beach, Florida – A video posted by Florida Pete on October 8, 2025, reveals intense flooding sweeping through the coastal city as powerful king tides and rising sea levels inundate key areas.

The 48-second handheld clip shows floodwaters surging through Ocean Drive north of Sheridan Street and the intersection of Franklin Street and A1A. Overcast skies and heavy rain accompany the scene, as the flooding reaches knee-deep levels and rises to car doors and midsections.

Several vehicles struggle to pass through the waterlogged streets. Some cars crawl cautiously, sending waves against nearby vehicles, while a white SUV accelerates through, only to stall midway, engulfed by the rushing tide.

In the foreground, an orange “WATER OVER ROAD” warning sign stands half-submerged, a stark reminder of the peril as motorists continue to defy safety advisories.

The background captures swaying palm trees, utility poles, and beachfront buildings — including a white multi-story structure and thatched-roof boathouse-style edifices — surrounded by parked vehicles and makeshift barriers.
