Jacksonville, Florida – Last week, two District 2 patrol officers sprang into action when citizens flagged them down to report a duckling trapped in a storm grate.

The mother duck was nearby, visibly distressed and calling for help. Without hesitation, the officers lifted the grate and safely reunited the baby duck with its mother.

The entire heartwarming rescue was captured on the officers’ body-worn camera, including the touching moment they saw the baby and mother reunited.
