Creede, Colorado – A great horned owl has returned to the wild after recovering from a wing injury.
The owl arrived at CPW’s Frisco Creek Wildlife Rehab in March.
It was not only injured but also underweight when it was brought in.
Wildlife experts provided cage rest and flight conditioning.
After months of care, the owl was released last Friday near Creede.
This marks another success story for Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s rehabilitation efforts.
