IDF Reports Houthi Drone Hits Hotel In Southern Israel

Eilat, Israel – The Israel Defense Forces said a Houthi UAV struck a hotel in the city of Eilat on September 18, 2025. Security footage captured the moment of impact. The attack caused minor damage but no injuries.

According to the IDF, this strike is one of more than 200 carried out by the Houthi regime since October 2023 during the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Hours later, air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv as a Houthi ballistic missile aimed at central Israel was intercepted outside Israeli airspace.

A Houthi spokesman claimed responsibility, saying the attack was retaliation for Israeli strikes on Yemen, including recent operations in Hodeidah and the killing of their prime minister.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened severe retaliation, declaring that the Israeli flag would one day fly over Yemen.
