HMS Prince Of Wales Illuminates Singapore As UK Carrier Strike Group Begins Critical Indo Pacific Phase

Singapore – The HMS Prince of Wales lit up the Port of Singapore at nightfall, marking a powerful arrival of the UK Carrier Strike Group.

The Strike Group’s visit signals the start of the next phase of its Indo-Pacific deployment, known as Operation Highmast.

This multinational task group includes ships from Canada, Norway, and Spain, having already completed exercises in the Mediterranean.

The deployment highlights the UK’s lasting commitment to regional security and partnerships across the Indo-Pacific.

At the center of the group is HMS Prince of Wales, a symbol of British innovation, defence excellence, and global ambition.

In Singapore, the group will conduct joint training, leadership engagements, and outreach to strengthen military ties in the region.

With two squadrons of F-35B jets, the Strike Group will later join the British Army and Royal Air Force in Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025.

Led by Australia, the exercise will involve the US and multiple regional allies, pushing the UK’s carrier strike capabilities toward full operational power.
