HMS Prince Of Wales Arrives In Singapore As UK Carrier Group Begins New Phase Of Indo Pacific Operation

Singapore – HMS Prince of Wales arrived today, June 23, 2025, at the Port of Singapore.

The UK Carrier Strike Group has entered the next phase of its Indo-Pacific deployment, known as Operation Highmast.

The group includes warships from Canada, Norway, and Spain, and departed the UK in April after completing exercises in the Mediterranean.

This arrival highlights the UK’s lasting commitment to regional security and strategic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific.

Sailing alongside allies and partners, the task group strengthens cooperation, promotes peace, and supports free navigation in one of the world’s most dynamic regions.

At the center of the group is HMS Prince of Wales, symbolizing British innovation, global ambition, and advanced defence capability.

During its stay in Singapore, the Carrier Strike Group will conduct joint training, senior leadership engagements, and outreach activities with regional partners.

The group, carrying two F-35B squadrons, will next participate in Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025.

This Australian-led, multinational exercise includes the US and other regional allies.

It is a key milestone on the path to full operational capability of the UK’s carrier strike forces.
