Dayton, Ohio – A high-speed chase on U.S. 35 ended with the arrest of a wrong-way driver and passenger by Dayton police.
Officers first spotted the reckless vehicle near Steve Whalen Boulevard and then saw it enter U.S. 35.
Police said the vehicle matched the description of a stolen car that had triggered a Flock Safety camera alert earlier that day.
Dashcam video captured the driver veering through the grass at the Smithville Road exit before reentering U.S. 35 in the wrong direction.
Officers activated lights and sirens, but the driver refused to stop.
The pursuit lasted two minutes.
“Get on the ground now!” an officer shouted as the situation ended.
Police arrested and handcuffed a 25-year-old driver and a 26-year-old passenger.
