Hero Cop Rescues Firefighter’s Daughter From Flaming Car In Dramatic Freeway Save

Goodyear, Arizona – A Goodyear police officer made a daring rescue early Sunday morning after witnessing a fiery crash on Interstate 10.

The officer was returning from booking a suspect into jail just before 4:30 a.m. when he came upon a multi-vehicle collision near 91st Avenue.

One car was completely engulfed in flames. Inside, a woman was trapped, frantically honking her horn.

Body camera footage captured the officer sprinting to the scene, smashing the driver’s side window, and pulling the woman to safety from the burning vehicle.

In the process, he attempted to fight the fire with his bare hands and suffered serious burns.

The woman, critically injured, was transported to a burn center. She is expected to survive.

The officer is also expected to recover fully.

In a powerful twist, officials later confirmed the rescued woman is the daughter of a Goodyear firefighter.
