Helicopter Crew Rescues Two Fishermen in Alaska

Kodiak, Alaska – A helicopter crew from United States Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak saved two fishermen on Friday. The rescue happened after their vessel started taking on water and sank in rough seas.

The team worked with Alaska State Troopers and good samaritans to complete the mission. The fishermen had to abandon their boat due to the dangerous conditions.

Despite the tumbling seas, the Coast Guard crew showed their motto, “Always Ready” or “Semper Paratus,” in action. The operation was a success, and the fishermen were brought to safety.

This event is part of the Coast Guard’s “Friday from the Fleet” updates, highlighting their efforts to protect lives at sea.
