Hawaii – One of the world’s most active volcanoes has erupted again, sending fountains of lava shooting into the sky.
According to the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, the lava spewed from the vents has reached up to 1000 feet (300 meters) in height.
This dramatic eruption follows a pattern of intermittent activity. Since December 23, the volcano has shown a stop-start behavior, with bursts lasting from just 13 hours to as long as eight days.
