Greilich Fire Erupts And Burns 11 Acres Before Firefighters Contain It In Plymouth

Plymouth, California – The Greilich Fire broke out Tuesday evening on Greilich Road in Amador County.

The wildfire started at 5 p.m. and quickly spread across dry terrain.

Within three hours, it scorched 11.3 acres before firefighters brought it under control.

Crews from Cal Fire’s Amador El Dorado Unit battled the blaze with multiple engines and ground personnel.

By 8:55 p.m., officials confirmed the fire was fully contained.

Despite the containment, firefighters and equipment remain in the area.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
