Fresh Snowfall Creates Slick Roads In Summit Park

Summit Park, Utah – A slow start to the morning was reported as fresh snowfall created slick road conditions. Snow is expected to continue through the weekend, with the Wasatch area forecasted to receive 6 to 12 inches.

According to UDOT Wasatch Back, the I-80 road conditions near Parleys Summit show snow-covered areas. Other parts of the canyon are reported to be just damp.

Drivers are urged to be alert, as a couple of slide-offs have already been reported. Officials advise slowing down and watching for slick spots.

From Parleys Mouth to Summit, drivers can expect spots of slush on I-80. Between Summit and Silver Creek, roads are mostly damp.

Although snow is tapering off, showers are forecast to linger through the day. Drivers are reminded to be prepared and drive carefully.
