Pharr, Texas – Cars were stranded on the side of the road after a powerful storm hit Pharr, TX, according to a video shared by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The footage, recorded at 10:25 pm, shows vehicles lined up along the I-2 eastbound main lane shoulder, just south of Stewart Road. Floodwaters forced drivers to pull over and wait for conditions to improve.

The Texas Department of Transportation urged drivers to slow down and stay alert. The storm caused significant delays as floodwaters blocked parts of the highway.

Officials have not said when the road will fully reopen. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible until the water recedes.
