Flooding Brings Chaos And Flight Suspensions At Benito Juarez International Airport

Mexico City, Mexico – Benito Juarez International Airport is experiencing severe flooding that has disrupted operations, as shown in a video by X user Meister der Ball.

The terminal floor is covered in water, with yellow caution signs placed to warn travelers of slippery conditions.

Passengers are seen wading through the water or standing in groups, likely assessing the damage or waiting for updates. Despite the flooding, shops and services inside the terminal remain visible and busy.

Heavy rainfall and poor visibility caused the flooding, leading to a suspension of flights at one of Latin America’s busiest airports.

Meister der Ball said: “How long are they going to keep neglecting the airport? But we have the Mayan train, Dos Bocas, and chaifa—what a mess.”
