Vila-real, Spain – A serious traffic accident on the N-340 highway led to five people being injured and required firefighters to dismantle vehicles to rescue a trapped woman.
The crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at kilometer 968, near Vila-real. Three vehicles were involved in the incident.
Firefighters from Bombers Dipcas responded to the scene and used specialized tools to dismantle one of the vehicles in order to free a woman who was physically trapped inside.
A video released by the firefighting unit shows the dramatic rescue operation as crews worked carefully to access the injured passenger.
The footage highlights the precise and intense efforts needed during such emergencies, as responders cut through the vehicle to safely reach the woman.
The Emergency Information and Coordination Center reported that the injured included three women aged 19, 45, and 63, and two men aged 23 and 65.
The 45-year-old woman, who was trapped, suffered multiple injuries and was transported by SAMU to Hospital de la Plana.
The other four people were treated for contusions and taken to the same hospital by Basic Life Support unit.
The rescue operation was completed successfully, and the firefighters confirmed that the scene was cleared after the intervention.
