San Juan Capistrano, California – A mountain biker was rescued on April 23rd after being injured on rugged trails in the area.
The Orange County Fire Authority responded with both ground and air crews.
Ground teams worked through difficult terrain to reach and stabilize the injured rider.
At the same time, the FIREHAWK helicopter deployed a rescue medic to the scene.
The patient was then hoisted up and airlifted to a hospital for further treatment.
Officials praised the coordinated efforts between ground and air responders.
