Pordenone, Italy – Firefighters have been working nonstop since late yesterday morning to extinguish and clean up a fire at an outdoor area of a wooden panel manufacturing company. The blaze broke out at a storage site for wooden scraps.
Operations continued throughout the night, with crews focusing on putting out the flames and removing debris. Since evening, teams have been using two wheeled loaders from the regional GOS (Special Operations Group) unit to clear the burned materials.
During the night, around 30 firefighters were on the scene. Support teams arrived from the Pordenone and Trieste fire departments to assist with the effort.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as crews work to secure the site and prevent further outbreaks.
