Umbertide, Italy – On April 20, 2025, a fire broke out at a plastic materials factory in the industrial area of Pian d’Assino, Umbertide.

By 9:00 am, officials reported that the flames were under control. Firefighting operations were in their final stages.

Throughout the night, eight teams of firefighters, with reinforcements from Terni and the Marche region, worked to contain the fire.

The use of foam agents helped firefighters limit the spread of the blaze and protect nearby structures.

Excavators and mechanical shovels were prepared for cleanup and recovery activities.

Fire crews had been on the scene since the afternoon, battling the fire at the plastic materials factory in the province of Perugia.
