San Bernardino County, California – A video captures the first moments of firefighting efforts as crews respond to the Cable Fire burning in Cable Canyon.

The fire is currently estimated at 15 acres and is spreading through light to medium grass.

The incident is under Unified Command with the U.S. Forest Service – San Bernardino National Forest, CAL FIRE San Bernardino Unit, San Bernardino County Fire, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Ground and aerial units are working aggressively to build containment lines and tackle hot spots near the head of the fire.

One firefighter sustained a heat-related injury and was transported to a local hospital by American Medical Response.

Evacuation Orders and Warnings remain active and are being managed by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as conditions evolve.
