Surgut, Russia – Firefighter Ilya Polyakov revived a lifeless cat found in a burning apartment on the first floor of a 12-story building. He carried the animal to fresh air, administered oxygen support, and performed chest compressions, successfully restoring the cat’s consciousness.
The fire, occurring on May 28, led to the evacuation of 30 residents, including 10 children. Two people, one a child, were rescued by firefighters using specialized gear. The blaze, spanning 30 square meters, was extinguished by 19 rescuers and six units of Russian Emergency Ministry equipment.
