Fireball Blazes Across Spanish Skies In Stunning Nighttime Display

València, Spain – A brilliant fireball lit up the skies over València and Alicante/Alacant last night at 21:02:47 UTC (23:02 CET), catching the attention of skywatchers across the region.

The fiery spectacle was recorded from Sant Mateu, Castelló, offering a clear view of the phenomenon. Observers reported the fireball blazing with high intensity as it streaked through the atmosphere.

Further south, it was also observed from Benamaurel in Granada. Though the magnitude appeared weaker due to distance, the flash at the end of its trail remained visible.

In Daya Vieja, Alicante/Alacant, the fireball was captured in full color. The display revealed a striking green hue during its brightest moments, a typical effect of ablation caused by mafic minerals rich in magnesium and iron.

The event drew awe and fascination, as the glowing object left a lasting impression on all who witnessed it.
