Virginia Beach, USA – An F/A-18 Super Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11, the “Red Rippers,” performed a flyover as part of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1 during the 2025 Oceana Naval Base Air Show on September 20, 2025.

Piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Martin Wilson, the aircraft demonstrated the precision and power of naval aviation. The flyover was part of the air show celebrating 250 years of America’s Navy.

The event highlighted the skill, innovation, and capabilities of the Navy’s pilots and aircraft, drawing attention from attendees along the Virginia Beach coast.
