Molezuelas de la Carballeda, Zamora, Spain – The Civil Guard is carrying out intense firefighting operations to contain a major forest fire in Molezuelas de la Carballeda and Cubo de Benavente.

Video footage shows hose teams battling through thick smoke and flames as part of a large emergency response.

The fire has forced the evacuation of about 350 people from several towns, including Una de Quintana and Congosta.

Animals are also being relocated to safety, while security measures are in place along local trails.

Several roads have been closed because of the fire. These include the ZA-111 between Rionegro, Molezuelas, Cubo de Benavente, and the Leon border; the ZAP-1510 from kilometer 34 to kilometer 37 between Una and Molezuelas; the ZAP-2454 between Cubo and Villalverde; and the ZA-P-2554 in Cubo de Benavente.

Authorities stress that their main goal is to protect both people and animals while working to control the blaze.
