Las Vegas, USA – The National Weather Service in Las Vegas confirmed the official arrival of the 2025 monsoon season with a dramatic display of lightning over the western valley on the morning of July 2nd.

“Electric skies tonight across the Western Vegas Valley,” NWS Las Vegas posted, sharing footage of the event. They noted that while each monsoon has its own unique pattern, this year’s activity began slightly earlier than usual.

“Usually it’s within the first couple weeks of July that we start seeing increased activity,” they added.
