Eight People And A Dog Rescued By Helicopter After Flooding In Paratebueno Cundinamarca

Paratebueno, Cundinamarca – Eight people and a dog were rescued by helicopter after severe flooding isolated them in a rural area.

Heavy rains caused the Humea River to overflow, flooding the region and leaving residents stranded.

A UH60 Blackhawk helicopter from Combat Air Command No. 2 carried out the rescue operation.

The mission was coordinated with the National Personnel Recovery Center and included pilots, flight crew, and rescuers.

The nighttime rescue saved the group, who had been suffering due to the harsh weather conditions.

Despite difficult weather, all individuals were safely extracted and flown to the Paratebueno football field.

Emergency crews were waiting to assist them with medical checks upon arrival.

The Colombian Aerospace Force remains on alert to respond to emergencies in the area.
