Grand Junction, Colorado – Firefighters from Station 3 responded to a call this morning about ducklings that had fallen through a sewer grate.
Using quick thinking and teamwork, the Grand Junction Fire Department crew was able to rescue the ducklings safely.
The ducklings were reunited with their mother shortly after the rescue.
The department reminded the public that spring is duck rescue season, with more wildlife on the move.
They encouraged anyone who sees ducklings in distress or stuck in storm drains to contact them.
The fire department emphasized they are here to help all members of the community, including the feathered ones.
