Martin County, Florida – Michela Delrosa has been safely located after deputies found her in a heavily brushed area near the beach where she was last seen.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the search was carried out in complete darkness.

Thanks to the work of the Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit and drone pilot Corporal Mike Fenton, deputies were able to identify her location from the air and guide ground units directly to her for rescue.

Michela is now being evaluated by medical professionals for any injuries, but she is safe.

The Sheriff’s Office praised the Drone Team for its fast response and the advanced capabilities of its equipment during nighttime searches in dense and hard-to-reach terrain.

The agency also thanked everyone who shared the missing person post and helped spread the word quickly.
