Waco, Texas – A swiftwater rescue unfolded on the 1000 block of Indian Trail in McGregor as a person was found trapped in the water near a low water crossing bridge.

Waco Fire Department units, alongside their Technical Rescue Team, responded promptly to assist McGregor emergency services in the tense operation involving a vehicle caught in rising waters.

The rescue team worked quickly and skillfully to bring the individual to safety amid dangerous conditions.

Officials remind the public to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown,” warning that moving water is incredibly powerful and poses serious risks.
