Lake County, Florida, USA – Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office rescued an alligator that wandered around a home after a woman spotted it on her front porch.

Aerial and bodycam footage shows the deputies slowly approaching the reptile. The alligator then crawled through the flower bed and made its way toward the backyard.

One deputy threw and wrapped a rope around the gator’s head, causing it to roll over repeatedly until it could be safely pinned. The second deputy applied tape around its mouth and carried the animal into a patrol vehicle.

The alligator was safely relocated, and the sheriff’s office noted on Facebook: “Not our first call like this… but it’s always a Florida classic!”
