Albuquerque, New Mexico – A video recorded by X user Julie during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta shows dozens of brilliantly colored hot air balloons filling with air as the sun rises over the launch field.

The burners ignite in bursts, illuminating the massive envelopes in flashes of orange, blue, and red. Crowds of spectators watch closely as the balloons lift slowly into the early morning sky, marking the mass ascension on the event’s third day.

The footage captures the wonder of the 53rd annual ExxonMobil Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, held from October 4 to 12, 2025, at Balloon Fiesta Park. The festival includes Dawn Patrol previews before sunrise, Special Shape Rodeos featuring enormous character balloons, evening Glowdeos, and the AfterGlow fireworks that light up the night.

On October 6, two balloons collided with power lines, leading to brief power outages in the local area.
