Salerno, Italy – On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, firefighters were called to Giovi, in the Montena area, after a car fell into a ravine.

The vehicle’s sole occupant, a man, was rescued by the crew of the AW139 helicopter from the Campania flight unit in Pontecagnano.

The operation used a winch maneuver, lowering and lifting the man safely out of the ravine.

He was then handed over to medical personnel for treatment.
