Colombian Aerospace Force Patrols Caribbean Skies During CELAC Summit

Santa Marta, Colombia – As part of the security operations for the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Air Combat Command No. 3 has deployed aerial patrols over Santa Marta and surrounding areas.

Both fixed-wing and rotary aircraft, along with unmanned systems, are being used to strengthen airspace surveillance and assist civilian and military authorities on the ground. These aerial platforms provide continuous monitoring of key zones to ensure a rapid response to any situation.

Air Combat Command No. 3 has mobilized all its aerial, technical, and human capabilities, coordinating efforts with agencies involved in securing the summit.

This participation reaffirms the institutional commitment of the Colombian Aerospace Force to protect citizens and international delegates attending the event. The operations aim to guarantee a safe and secure environment throughout the CELAC Summit.
