Coast Guard Rescues Two People and Two Dogs Near Cat Island

Cat Island, South Carolina – A U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Savannah air crew rescued two people and their two dogs from a 14-foot disabled boat near Cat Island, South Carolina, on March 29, 2025.

The rescue took place when the boat became disabled, leaving the passengers stranded. The Coast Guard team acted quickly to ensure their safety.

The two people and their dogs were safely transported to Georgetown Airport. No medical concerns were reported after the rescue.
