St. Lucie Inlet, Florida – A Coast Guard Air Station Miami aircrew rescued people from the water after a boat capsized.

The incident happened early Saturday morning, April 13, 2025.

The vessel went down about 29 miles off St. Lucie Inlet.

The rescued survivors were taken ashore at Stuart Airport.

The Coast Guard later suspended the search for five people who remain missing.

Efforts included both air and sea operations.
