Sitka, Alaska – On March 26 morning, an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Sitka sprang into action. They medevaced a crew member from the fishing vessel Nekton in Sitka Sound.

The skilled helicopter crew performed a successful hoist operation. They safely lifted the patient from the vessel despite challenging conditions.

After the rescue, the crew transported the patient to emergency medical services. The quick response ensured the crew member received prompt medical attention.
