Kauai, Hawaii – On June 26, 2025, the Coast Guard medevaced a 26-year-old crew member from the cargo ship Aal Kembla offshore Kauai.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew hoisted the crew member from the vessel after he reportedly suffered severe abdominal pain for three days.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Center Honolulu received a phone call at 9:30 a.m. alerting them to the medical emergency.
